I watched the first few episodes from season one of Due South, which had a nice, feel-good feel to it, being a Canadian production and all. Anyway, Paul Gross was born to play Constable Benton Fraser, and David Marciano as Detective Ray Vecchio. Maybe it's my memory, but I thought it was Paul Giamatti that played Detective Vecchio, but imdb corrected me. Also the match-up between Canada and "downtown Chicago" was ripe for storylines. If Due South is ever rebooted, I'd love a pair-up of a detective from Canada and one from Florida. It's hard to believe Due South debuted 30 years ago init right.
