The gist of this episode has to do with pairs and trios in movies and how they influence the movies' strengths. We have pairs like Butch and Sundance, Laurel and Hardy, and Thelma and Louise. There are other angles which begin to water down this theory. If there is a weakness to this series, it keeps using the same movies over and over from the Godfather films, Lawrence of Arabia, Psycho, and others that have appeared three times. One of the charms of movie documentaries is a chance to see a range of film clips. It will be interesting to see where this goes next. While it is entertaining, it is a bit contrived.
