Review of Moonglow

Moonglow (1989)
Dreary attempted rom-com
23 April 2024
Acting talent Sharon Mitchell and Billy Dee teamed up to co-direct this misjudged spoof of the hit "Moonstruck", so amateurish I started to feel queasy after a while. One would think seasoned pros knew better.

The cast plays Italian-American roles, strictly cliched, and the poor script by Chad Randolph attempts to be cute and funny but fails. Don Fernando is in love with Sharon Mitchell -they have a spaghetti dinner (as boring as could be) and then he gives her an engagement ring and fu*ks her. His brother with mangled hand "James Dean" shows up and mesmerizes her.

Throw in some sex filler scenes, like two gals having foot-fetish sex in a sauna, and you have a ridiculous movie. Worst acting is by Jesse Eastern as "Uncle Vito", worth showing to any acting class as a prime example of what not to do.

After suffering through the movie I wasn't prepared for the final scene, truly moronic.
