Review of Zeros and Ones

Dark, moody and just plain dreary
1 May 2024
I've always thought Ethan Hawke to be a kind of cerebral actor, taking parts that were outside the norm.

I've also felt for years the scoring here was often too low, compared to my feeling and the feeling of those I spoke with. Conversely, here 3.3 is simply too high. When is the last time you watched a movie, in which the starring actor felt compelled to come on screen to explain or apologize for the movie. It seems the shooting was done largely at night, cinematographers choice or were the role players busy with day jobs. I'm probably one of the few who watched this dreck to the bitter end, hoping it would turn a corner. Sadly, the corner never came. One plus, good dramatic sound...sadly, no drama to go with it.

2/10.
