This is a failure, sadly. It didn't bring anything, compare to the 2008 movie. I had hopes for it but it's hard to follow the story at all. They are all bipolar characters with the cliche lines. It fails as a fantasy and it fails in the story.
They are over acted and emotionally dead. Not well-thought of. The writing is not much of a help either. It's just a mess. I expected to be transported to a magical world, but they made it too dark, too dramatic for no reason at all. All the characters seems angry all the time. It's making me rewatch the 2008 movie, and appreciate it more. I hope they improve it.
