Way back in 2009 I saw an episode of Blue Murder which was about a woman controlling men (it was thd last episode of the show).
I have watched thousands of films and TV shows since and never seen anything like it.
OK, stalking is not quite the same and thd lead character might be white but he isn't straight but hopefully this is a start towards showing men being suppressed.
Every other dhow these days seems to be a shout out for the me too women's brigade. Yes, it's wrong but do we really need so many shows like it?
This was different and pleased to see it even if the long episode 4 did seem unnecessary.
There are so many role models for women and minority group men on screen these days.
Where are the role models for the rest of us.
The series itself is a joyride of emotions and, having seen Mark Lewis Jones give a below par role as an ex copper in The Red King, it is good to see him give a powerful performance here in quite a minor role (even if it is with a dodgy Scots accent).
A ordeal for us all but thought-provoking.
