There was something weird with this movie. It had a potential, it started good, but after the middle it rushed downhill fast and by the end it crashed glamorously.
What was that?! Was it a comedy?? Or was it a drama?? I couldn't decide. It left me with mixed thoughts and mixed feelings.
Jennifer Lawrence looked really old in his one. Just like the cougar the party boys claimed her to be.
She was trying hard but the whole thing was kinda hollow, lacking drama, lacking comedy. For a brief moment it looked like it's trying to deliver some "life lessons ", but that impression vanished fast.
The nerd boy was too wooden, even for a nerd. Could've be lil bit more passionate while falling in love and dating a cougar.. I mean, dating a "hot sexy woman".
Was the nude beach scene necessary? I don't think so. She could've show her naked body on other scenes if she wanted to. Or whoever wanted to, thinking that will bring more viewers or get a higher rating.
Some of the characters were so out of place and unneeded. As the "nanny" and the "real estate guy". Even the tow-truck was lacking bad.
Overall the acting was below mediocre.
I can't give it more than 3/10, it's one of the worst movies of 2023 I've watched.
