Richard Barthelmess stars as a European prince, a second son, who is bored with his protected life and yearns for adventure. After all, he's not the heir apparent. One day he spies a pretty American girl (Lois Moran) and decides to follow her to America. Once there he changes his name to John Gregory and romance blossoms.
The twist here is that through a series of accidents, both his father and his brother die and Barthelmess unimaginably must become king. But what to do with Moran?
