Sex & Nudity

  • A great deal of the film revolves around the protagonist's romances with women (one of them married). Two scenes in which he enters a bedroom and begins kissing her (she invited him earlier), and she lightly protests and then melts.
  • The protagonist helps his romance put on her stockings, and we only see her face as she experiences the pleasure of him touching her legs. Later a woman exudes a lot of pleasure after they kiss on her bed and the protagonist begins to ...? (touch her body? More than that?) off-screen.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman is stabbed to death. One stabbing, and no blood. Pretty expected (no surprise)
  • The protagonist approaches the cadavers of hanged men in the opening scene (faces not seen). He is then nearly hanged.
  • Some war in a later scene, firing guns and death.
