After hearing the rumours Bev is spreading, Jimmy decides not to campaign for Mike's release any more. Susannah lands at Max's with the children. Sinbad and Jacqui continue to try to discourage each other from bidding for number 9.
Jimmy offers Ron everything he has left to the Thailand fund. David discovers that his valuable work of ethnic art was made rather closer to home than he imagined. It is the day of the auction. Who will become the new owner of number 9?
Val and Fee are chasing Sinbad, and Mick isn't amused. Nat objects when Georgia wants to join him in the shower. Ron and Jackie try to bring Mike and Lindsey together. Sammy tells Susannah she has slept with Max.
Mick tells Val he is taking steroids. Mike receives a tempting offer, Jacqui returns from Tenerife, and David prepares to go to France, believing that Patricia should be told what has been going on at home.
Max returns home, and discovers that a lot of his neighbours are wearing his clothes. Katie tries to convince Sammy that history is repeating itself. Mike and Lindsey go shopping for rings, but come back with something else.
Both Bev and Jackie have ideas for the engagement buffet, but can they reach a compromise? Susannah demands proof of Sammy's latest assertion, but can she deliver it? Sinbad's efforts to help Mick are not appreciated.
Mick arranges to have a body-wax at Jacqui's, but has second thoughts when he discovers who will be doing it. The Farnhams' journey to the Cotswolds and when they arrive, they find that their holiday cottage is already occupied.
Val has plans for a holiday that include Sinbad, and she won't take no for an answer. Mike wants to interview people for a film about his experiences. Nat wants to be alone with Georgia - but will his plans be frustrated by the Farnhams?
Mike and Lindsey are about to set off on holiday to America, Jackie insists that Jimmy grasses on Macca to save his own job. There is a major surprise awaiting Max when he returns unexpectedly to the cottage.
Susannah calls a residents meeting, and Max makes an undignified entrance. Leo and Tinhead discover something interesting about Bel. Jimmy makes a speech to some young offenders, and JC expounds his own theory about Nat.
Max and Susannah are looking forward to a night out, but need to find a babysitter. Nat receives his exam results. Social Services are on their way, and Louise has disappeared from the home at which she was being looked after.
David returns from France and thinks he must be in the wrong house. Susannah calls a residents meeting to demonstrate her camera. Mick wins a trophy, but not everyone is impressed. Nat panics when Max threatens him.
Mick agrees to take Leo and Gemma out for the day, but then decides to compete in another body-building competition. Sammy is charged with neglect. Ollie makes an appointment to see a support group for parents of gay children.
Almost everyone is deserting Sammy at a time of need. Fee and Sinbad return from holiday, and Fee receives some good news, but Sinbad fears that either she or Val is going to catch him out.
Mike and Lindsey arrive home. Bev refuses to serve Sammy at the Trading Post. Jules, still convinced that Nat is lying, visits Georgia. Sinbad and Fee - or is it Val? - take Gemma and Leo for a day at Southport.
Leo is worried about meeting up with Tinhead. David tells Max that he wants his loan to be repaid within a week. Mick finally realises that he needs to get help to overcome his addiction to steroids.
Georgia thinks she has found somewhere safe to live. Susannah tries to persuade David not to remove his investment from "Grants". MIke suggests that the extension at no. 10 may be haunted. Lindsey sorts out someone to cover for Jimmy.
Mick wants to welcome Leo and Gemma home with a cake, and luckily Lindsey is around to help . Susannah has a proposition for David, but he wants it in writing. Val tries to discover whether Sinbad is looking for a long-term relationship.
Sammy prepares for her court appearance. Danny, Leo and Matthew try to escape from Tinhead. Max finds that "Grants" is offering cheap lunches to pensioners. Jules and JC confront Nat, accusing him of having an affair with Susannah.
Sinbad needs Mick's help to avoid both of his girlfriends until he can decide which one of them he wants to keep. Katie tells Sammy whether she is willing to lie for her in court.
Bev decides that she wants another child, but Ron doesn't want to know. Little Jimmy asks Jackie for another chance. Ollie loses to Mick in the school governor election, but has a much bigger problem at home.
Ollie takes steps to prevent Little Jimmy cutting across his lawn. Max and David realise that Matthew and Emily are wearing the uniforms of a different school. Ron refuses to see a doctor at the fertility clinic.
Bel and Ollie are called by the police. Jackie threatens to leave Jimmy if he doesn't get Max's car back. Susannah makes another extravagant purchase, and a long-lost stranger arrives on the parade.
Mick prepares suggestions to combat school bullying, but Ollie doesn't agree with him. Lindsey discovers that Jackie and Ron are together in Southport. Max discovers that his car has come back home.
Sinbad is having doubts about his wedding, and Mick gives him something else to think about. David decides to follow Susannah, hoping to find out what she is up to. Little Jimmy returns, after spending all of the stolen money.
"Casa Bevron" is burned down. Ron, Mike and Jacqui are quick to blame Jimmy, and the evidence appears to support this view. Lindsey and David, however, are convinced that he is innocent this time.
Bel returns. Susannah wonders whether she, or Max, should take steps to avoid further pregnancy. Mick thinks Gladys should consider going private to have her hip operation. Jimmy asks Sinbad if he would like to be a lodger at number 10.
David and Max resolve their past differences. Tinhead tried to sell knock-off gear at Sinbad's shop. Jack's secret is worrying Julia. Mick has to move Elaine, Tanya and Gladys in much sooner than he expected.
Max tries to put the case against him having a vasectomy to Susannah. Jimmy tries to butter up Sinbad, while Jackie is keen to obtain a proper rent book. Ollie reacts angrily to Bel's latest accusations.
Bel forces Ron to find another assistant for the day, so Mike steps in. Gladys receives the results of her tests. Max is given a choice about his vasectomy operation. Jimmy asks Sinbad to pay Jackie rent and keep his secret.
Jimmy takes drastic action to make sure everyone knows he is going to be a father. Bel opens her new delicatessen. Nat and Georgia find somewhere else to live, and Susannah foretells the future.
Max's wine-tasting session with Jacqui has to be interrupted, as some very bad news awaits him at the local hospital. ("Viewers may find some scenes upsetting")
Bel tries to convince Ollie to change his views about Nat and Georgia. News of the accident spreads around the Close, and a policeman with a breathalyser turns up at the hospital.
Gladys wants to help Mick with his bills. Max feels that things still aren't getting any better. Katie asks Christian to take it easy with Rachel. Lindsey agrees to go to Jackie's art class with her, and a major surprise awaits them.
Max prepares to go away on holiday without Susannah, but will he? Katie encourages Rachel to ask Christian if he wants her to move in with him. Ron puts David's rent up, and Carmel is concerned when Tinhead disappears.
Susannah moves her things into Emily's room while Thomas and Alice are staying. Tim borrows tools from David so that he can steal a washing machine for Christian. David threatens to tell Jacqui what Leanne is doing.
Gladys decides that she needs to stay upstairs rather than try to move around. Jacqui comes home, and insists that no-one is taking over her responsibilities. Ollie is not pleased about Bel's new job.
Jacqui sees a solicitor, and continues to lie about her problems. Ollie assures Bel he is not having an affair. Gladys's condition deteriorates, and the pain-killers are not working.
Sinbad moves out of the Corkhills' to join Carmel. Mick is asked to step down as school governor. Christian needs a new pair of shoes. When Jacqui wins a free trip to America, she knows exactly what to do with it.
Danny gets into a stolen car with Tinhead. Elaine is told that she and Mick will have to engage different solicitors. Susannah has a new idea about how she might replace the void left by the loss of Matthew and Emily.
Lindsey may not be able to finish things with Barry before Peter comes home. Tim gets into a fracas with Ron. Eleanor agonises over Louise, and Gladys is buried again.
Jimmy plans to take over "Chips With Everything" if Mick goes to prison. Ron and David go to the sherry and biscuit evening at the golf club. Lindsey suspects that Barry arranged for Peter to be mugged and robbed.
