The 61-year-old actor's rep confirmed to Et that he and wife Kayte welcomed Auden James Ellis Grammer into the world on Monday, weighing 7 lbs. and measuring 21 inches long.
"Both mother and son are doing great," the TV star's rep notes.

Wayward Pines, Ep. 1.02, “Do Not Discuss Your Life Before” lays out the town’s laws and consequences
Wayward Pines, Season 1, Episode 2, “Do Not Discuss Your Life Before”
Written by Chad Hodge
Directed by Charlotte Sieling
Airs Thursdays at 9pm (Et) on Fox
If “Where Paradise Is Home” suggested that Wayward Pines operates by a code of conduct different from the rest of the world, “Do Not Discuss Your Life Before” removes the ambiguity from that by printing that code out and plastering it in every public building in town. The rules are simple, yet highly restrictive: Do not try to leave. Do not discuss the past. Do not discuss your life before. Always answer the phone if it rings. Work hard, be happy, and enjoy your life in Wayward Pines! By the end of the episode, Ethan has broken one rule, seen Beverly violate two others, and witnessed how adherence to the fourth turns this placid community into a veritable lynch mob.

Robin Williams is usually known as one of the funniest people in America, but soon, he’ll be known as angriest. “The Angriest Man In Brooklyn” will be released on Blu-ray plus Digital HD, DVD plus Digital and Digital HD July 22 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The film, currently available on Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View, also stars Mila Kunis, Peter Dinklage and Melissa Leo and is directed by “Field of Dreams” director Phil Alden Robinson from a screenplay by Daniel Taplitz. Remaining largely under the radar despite some big names, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn is hitting shelves on July 22nd. Running with a gimmick-focused plot, the film features Robin Williams as an extremely angry, unhappy man who suddenly believes he only has 90 minutes to live. That will change your perspective on things, and he tears around New York trying to manage some closure, while the doctor (Mila Kunis) who gave him the false news in retaliation to his hateful demeanor tries to track him down.
Though a film that did not win over a lot of critics, potential viewers may want to take that with a grain salt. It’s just not that sort of movie. It celebrates obnoxious, self-centered, cranky behavior in an effort to speak through hyperbole, and that’s not the kind of effort that is aimed at a wide demographic.
Keep this one on your radar though,...

Actor and director who brought dark good looks and a commanding presence to his roles
Austrian by birth, Swiss by circumstance and international by reputation, Maximilian Schell, who has died aged 83, was a distinguished actor, director, writer and producer. However, he will be best remembered as an actor, especially for his Oscar-winning performance in Stanley Kramer's Judgment at Nuremberg (1961) – an early highlight among scores of television and movie appearances. He also directed opera, worked tirelessly in the theatre and made six feature films, including Marlene (1984) - a tantalising portrait of Dietrich, his co-star in Judgment, who is heard being interviewed but not seen, except in movie extracts.
Schell courted controversy and much of his work, including The Pedestrian (1973), dealt with the second world war, its attendant crimes and the notion of collective guilt. In 1990, when he was offered a special award for his contributions to German film, he refused to accept it.

Maybe, just maybe, Louis C.K. can do it. Bring home the Emmy for Best Comedy Series, that is.
Comedian Louis C.K.’s free form FX show, Louie, got six Emmy nominations with its biggest score in the category for Outstanding Comedy Series. It was also nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (Melissa Leo) and Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series (Susan E. Morse, A.C.E., Editor – (“Daddy’s Girlfriend Part 2”).
This was the first time any basic cable show has been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and for once stop the domination of network comedies like Modern Family from taking all of the major awards in the comedy categories. Other basic cable comedies like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Psych, and Archer have long been ignored.

Following our looks at actors, actresses, screenwriters and directors to watch in recent months, when the time came to put together a list of cinematographers (as we did two years ago), we went in with an open mind. But what was interesting is realizing, after the fact, that in an era where 35mm film is allegedly being phased out, that all five have done perhaps their most distinctive work on old-fashioned celluloid, rather than digital.
All have worked in digital of course, at least in the commercial world, and some have done hugely impressive work on new formats. But most of our five are fierce advocates for good 'ol 35mm, and it's another sign that the death knell shouldn't be rung for the old ways just yet. As long as there are talented DoPs like the ones below, and on the following pages, working closely with filmmakers like Paul Thomas Anderson,...

Neil Flynn was kicking around show business for 20 years when his big break came from what was supposed to be a nothing, one-time role on "Scrubs."
He was the janitor.
"There was no promise that he would ever appear again after the pilot," Flynn tells Zap2it. "And then Bill Lawrence, who created the show -- [who] I owe an eternal debt to -- he just wrote me into every show for eight years."
Flynn now plays Mike Heck, the dad on ABC's "The Middle."
"Mike and Frankie (Patricia Heaton) balance each other well as characters," Flynn says. "And they are believable."
The comedy, which often flies under the radar, "is relatable," he says. "It is pretty grounded."

Didn't get an invite to this year's Oscars? Neither did Xan Brooks, but he stoically blogged the red carpet and then the ceremony anyway
10.57pm: And so it begins ....
11.25pm: Roll carpet, roll cameras: it's the 84th annual Academy Awards, live and lurid from Hollywood. The Guardian film team will be covering the event throughout the night, weeping with the winners and wailing with the losers as this season's awards circus clatters exhaustedly towards the finish line. This is where it ends, inside the Hollywood and Highland Centre (reputedly the winner of the 2007 "Ugliest Building in La" award). Inside, the victors shall be encased in gold, the vanquished shown the door and all manner of movies laid tenderly to rest.
But wait, kick back, and keep the war horses tethered: the actual ceremony does not officially commence until 5pm (Pacific time). Time enough to cast an eye back over some late-breaking Oscar news.

Hey y'all! Are you ready for some Os-Cars?? This year, Billy Crystal hosts, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Nick Nolte, Christopher Plummer and Martin Scorsese number among the celebrated nominees.... Wtf is it 1985?? Yes, the Academy is going retro, celebrating the history of movies, and not just by lauding "The Artist" and "Hugo." Yeah, there are some newbies and left-field pics, but those kinda feel like shots in the dark at attempting to stay relevant (Rooney Mara, so edgy right now). Who could forget the breaking news from this week that the Academy is only old white men? Total Shocker. But we will attempt to find some fun in the proceedings, and dream of a George Clooney and Tilda Swinton hosted ceremony, where they perform a song and dance routine in matching tuxedos... what, oh sorry I drifted off into a daydream there. Instead, we will try and muddle through...

Chicago – I must admit that I am of the school that thinks that “Mildred Pierce” is one of the best things that has ever played on television. It is art of the highest caliber, featuring one of the best performances in the history of the form and were it eligible it would have been in my top ten films of 2011. It’s that good. And the “Collector’s Edition” of the award-winning series lives up to that title, marking the first time that HBO has ever released a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack and weighing the production down with special features. It’s the first must-own of 2012.

Martin Scorsese also picked up his first ever Emmy for directing the pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire. Were you surprised by any of the choices? Did they get any of the categories wrong? The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were held in the early hours of this morning, and though I unfortunately wasn’t able to watch it, the results are in, courtesy of the Emmys’ own site, with so much great talent being deservedly well recognised.
For those unable to watch the show, you can catch it on Five USA at 10 tonight, with your host for the evening being Jane Lynch, best known for her role as Sue Sylvester in Glee.
We took a look at the nominations last night, as well as some of the awards that had already been announced, with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul McCrane, and Futurama already receiving their awards in an earlier ceremony last weekend.
For now, we shall turn our attention to last night though, and the brilliant winners from the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards.

Who better than the director of “Far From Heaven” to perfectly capture the details of a complex ’30s period piece and who better than arguably the best actress alive to lead such a daring project? But could the expectations possibly be met? Not only have they been met, they have been vastly exceeded. There’s no way to say it without sounding hyperbolic — this is one of the best things to ever air on television.
TV Rating: 5.0/5.0
Cain was known for noir (he also wrote “The Postman Always Ring Twice”) when he delivered his daring novel about much more than just double crosses and femme fatales. “Mildred Pierce” is an incredibly complex tale of class,...

Best Supporting Actress winner Melissa Leo.
I interviewed Melissa Leo in January of 2009 for her much-buzzed about (and Oscar-nominated) turn in "Frozen River," in many ways a fitting precursor to her Oscar-winning role as Mark Wahlberg's overbearing mother in David O. Russell's "The Fighter." During our talk, Leo was engaging, dramatic, and mercurial, much like her performance on the Oscars. She remains one hell of an actress, and we at The Interview congratulate her on this well-deserved win.

Born and raised in New York City, Melissa Leo is one of those faces you always see popping up on the big or small screen at least once a year, and you invariably find yourself asking "Wasn't she in fill in the blank with a movie or TV title of your choosing" and you'd probably be right. A fiercely prolific...

10:43 - Wait, before I go, did anyone else catch the shitty '80s sax version of "Take My Breath Away" that sounded a lot like the La Law theme song? Okay, just checking. 'Night!
10:39 - Well with that, I'm going to make like Anne's sense of style and leave for the night. Thank each and every one of you for joining me on this journey through laughter, tears and awkward Justin Timberlakes. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my birthday or a better bunch of knuckleheads to share it with. Good night!
10:38 - Yeah, you Will stop your music for tiny bald man!
10:36 - Whew. I had a momentary fear that I wouldn't get to see a full body shot of Hbc in all her glory. Though it's moot because she's dressed relatively normal.
10:35 - The King's Speech. Come on, King's Speech.
10:34 - Excellent montage,...

Previously on "Best of the Year"
Honorable Mentions: Scott Pilgrim, Another Year, Winter's Bone, etcetera
Runners Up: A Prophet, Toy Story 3, Rabbit Hole
Top Ten List
10 How to Train Your Dragon (see previous article)
09 The Ghost Writer (see previous article)
08 Fish Tank (see previous article)
Animal Kingdom dir. David Michôd.
[Spc, August 15th]
It begins with a banal static shot of a mother & son watching a game show, all zoned out like couch potatoes. A few seconds later paramedics arrive. Surprise, you've been staring at a dead woman! This is but the first of many chilling upheavals (and, uh, dead bodies). Her orphaned son "J" is soon picked up by his estranged Grandma (Jacki Weaver in an Oscar worthy performances) and dropped right into her lion's den; his uncles are all crooks. Animal Kingdom circles around introducing this testosterone-heavy crime family and then it makes like a boa constrictor. It may be...

Twas a year in which sequels (“Toy Story 3,” Iron Man 2″), “originals” (“Inception,” “Despicable Me”) and movies somewhere in between (“Alice in Wonderland”) dominated the box office side-by-side.
But what movies ranked highest where it matters most (you know… in our hearts)?
From thrilling new installments in the behemoth “Twilight” and “Harry Potter” franchises to fascinating prestige films that mined gold from surprising sources like Facebook and ballet, here are our picks for the very best of the best of 2010.
25. ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’
That vampire-werewolf-human love triangle reached hot new heights with its third – and strongest – installment this summer. With the highly anticipated tent scene, the battle against Victoria and the newborns and (swoon) that marriage proposal, the flick was so action-packed, smooch-packed and six-packed, fans’ cries of pure joy are still ringing in our ears. Or maybe those sounds are caused by the fact that we have to...

This morning the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) had me up and out of bed at 5 Am for the announcement of the nominees for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be held just over a month from now on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Josh Duhamel, Katie Holmes and Blair Underwood joined Hollywood Foreign Press Association Philip Berk to announce the nominations in 25 categories in film and television.
Leading the list of film nominees is The King's Speech with seven in total followed by both The Fighter and The Social Network with six. After that, Inception, The Kids are All Right and Black Swan all have four.
As far as surprises go, I'd say the Comedy/Musical categories look like a disaster as The Tourist isn't only nominated for Best Picture (Comedy/Musical), but both Jolie and Depp were nominated for Best Actor and Actress for their roles in the travesty of a film.

A look at what's new on DVD today:
"The Fantasia Collection"
Released by Disney Home Entertainment
While the headliner of Disney's incredible group of releases on November 30th will be the four-disc Blu-ray double feature of "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000," it's what's less publicized that should be exciting to both Disneyphiles and film fans in general. Starting with the hi-def debut of the two "Fantasias," Disney will finally include amongst the films' copious special features (many ported over from the out-of-print DVD set) the 1946 Salvador Dali-Walt Disney collaboration "Destino," along with an 82-minute making-of documentary. And incidentally, Disney is also releasing three standalone documentaries that shouldn't be overlooked in "The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story" about the songsmiths behind the studio's most famous musicals like "Mary Poppins," "Walt & El Grupo," which details the company-shifting trip Walt Disney took with his animators to Latin America as part of the Good...

Nicholson would be the natural man of the 70s, a rebel but disillusioned, the nearest to what James Dean might have been had he lived
He takes it easy these days – or is it that he is disappointed with the kind of parts offered? Since As Good As It Gets (1997), the occasion of his third Oscar, he has worked only seven times – if you count How Do You Know, which will be out at the end of this year. It's a James Brooks film, and Brooks has done nothing since As Good As It Gets either. But Jack has a good track record with the director – they did Terms of Endearment together, for which Nicholson got the best supporting actor Oscar. So there may be young people around by now who don't know the sly charmer he could be when he was young. All the more reason to see the rerelease of Five Easy Pieces,...

With Tribeca handing out their awards last tonight and me coming back to life (things have been crazy) I thought we'd talk about some people attending New York's glitzy festival. I'm asking a comment question in red for each of them because I'm "reader discussion guide" annoying like that. Maybe I should have been a T.A.? Tribeca doesn't have the same prestige or art-driven mentality as the far older New York Film Festival (always in the fall) but it does pack theaters all over town, offer up a diverse 'something for everyone' slate and bring out the celebrities in droves. To hawk their films. Though I did see Ben Stiller and Denis Leary as audience members at the religious satire The Infidel.
