broken world
Vincentiu21 April 2012
a child. two fathers. an error. and victims of a cruel war. the film is a page of social fresco , very promoted in Communism. emotions, excellent cast, tension, a drama directed by one of greatest names of Romanian cinematography, Elisabeta Bostan. it is difficult to define today. because dialog may be fake - a common situation for Romanian Comunist cinema -, the situation strange, in few aspects, the final solution - not very inspired. but the science of young Medeea Marinescu to give each nuance to her character, the opposition between Ion Caramitru and Mircea Diaconu characters are pieces of a decent movie about a great error, need of sense , broken world of a child, ambiguous feelings and close door.

Medeea Marinescu

a drama by a director famous for her films for the children. a young actress who impress in each scene. a script in fight with its noble ideas. and a bitter story about family, errors and victory of noble values. the Manichean fight is the basis of a film who looking escape from the web of political command. and it has luck. not only for the admirable contribution of actors but for music and for the splendid manner to play her role of Medeea Marinescu. today, to define her as a good actress is not a surprise but at 9 years old , the mature art of acting seems more than great. she is the reason , the first reason, to see Promisiuni. than, the flavor of life of a simple family front to a painful challenge.
