Monique and Michelle
Robbie-4324 September 1999
This film deserves comment because it contains scenes with two members of the Eye Candy Hall of Fame All Century team: Monique Gabrielle and Michelle Bauer. Before they became screen legends, they did a number of small roles in films like this one. Through hard work and making the most of their screen time, these two ladies were able to reveal their true talents. Eventually they built a reputation amongst themselves to get better and leading roles in films and most importantly enshrined into the Hall of Fame. As a note, both Ms. Gabrielle and Ms. Bauer are featured on the video box artwork yet are listed only in the tail end of the credits. Also within the film, our two actors appear often together. The fantasy sequence with both Ms. Gabrielle and Ms. Bauer is outstanding and ranks as one the greatest in screen history. This is one test that receives an A+.

Some funny moments and a lot of boobs
zep-325 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Slightly better than average 80's sex comedy. A group of friends (including a virgin) are sick of striking out with the ladies so they come up with the idea to cast for a porn video so they can see naked women. They get a set,set up camera & lights but for some idiotic reason don't actually want to film so they don't have any tape and they just pretend to film. Well, one of the girls they film (actually don't film) just happens to be the big local Mafia Don's daughter who wants to be a star and soon the mob comes after them and demands the video. They are told the video is "at the lab" and give the guys a short time to come up with the tape. Now the fun begins since the guys now have to shoot a real video with the Mafia Don's daughter but not have her compromised in the movie. OK,got all that? There are a few genuine funny moments, decent acting (for this type of film) and a fairly steady array of boobs and even some bush. Don't go out of your way to see Screen Test, but check it out if it comes your way.

Only one redeeming scene
tommi-5313418 July 2017
I remember renting this on VHS in 1986 just as I entered puberty. Needless to say, I wasn't interested in the plot or moral theme. Just the sight of the gorgeous and buxom Monique Gabrielle on the box cover was all I needed to plunk down the $2.00 cash to take it home, pull down the undies, and watch my sweet Monique in a fully nude scene give some lucky guy his ultimate sexual fantasy! The nude scene was borderline X-rated which kinda surprised me since I was able to rent it without any hassle from the video store clerk. Good memories of a horny teenage youth in small boring town.

The prototype that The Asylum has made a fortune with.
BlackJack_B11 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Screen Test is a film that has become unfairly obscure in a huge sea of horny guy teen flicks. Among the Private Schools, Porky's and Bachelor Parties it is Screen Test's story line that is still used and re-used by studios such as The Asylum.

A bunch of horny men concoct a scheme in order to get some action by pretending that they are porn film directors and then find out that their plan might lead them to an early death when they cross the mob.

The real reason to see this film is for the Goddess that is Monique Gabrielle. She appears three times and shows everybody her goods. There are a few funny scenes in this low budget film such as the two guys pretending to be the Siskel & Ebert of sex toys or seeing the kids watching an accidental broadcast of the porn movie and then the boy telling the two girls that he wants them to join him in bed but it's not really anything special outside of the plot. None of the actors ever did anything of note before or after this. However, if you're a fan of the nudie films of The Asylum you should try to find this film to see where they got all their ideas for a few of their films such as Celebrity Sex Tape.

Trash for trash sake . . .

Warning: Spoilers
I am so glad that the vogue for movies like Screen Test is gone. They represent the lowest common denominator in movies and overcrowd the dusty shelves of video stores along with all those loser horror movies like The Toolbox Murders and Fatal Deception (In the next decade I expect all the current gross-out excrement comedies like Joe Dirt and Tomcats to join them).

I swear, 'Screen Test' seems to have been made to suffer that fate. It involves a group of morons, all about twentysomething who do nothing but sit around all day and night watching porn. The cast of characters in these movies rarely ever changed: You have the leader, a wild and crazy guy who initiates the plan; Then you have the oversexed slob who would get sex if he weren't an oversexed slob; Then you have the fat guy who excels at being a fat guy; Then you have the geek. None of these personalities by the way ever breaks out of caricature.

The brains of the outfit hits upon the idea that since none of them can get laid on their own (possibly because they are rarely apart and spend their whole lives watching porn) that they should pose as porn producers in order to separate easy women from their clothes. Problem: one of the girl's fathers turns out to be a member of the local mob and they are left with the task of coming up with a real movie or else.

This is an excuse for a long series of mislaid sex jokes as they try to worm their way out of trouble. Few of them are humorous, one, a painful parody of 'Sneak Previews' called 'Sneak Preverts' is desperate enough to warrant fast forwarding just because you can't bear to watch.
