. . . ZOO IS COMPANY is devoid of the mouse with Jimmy Cagney's voice. The gangster rodent of the earlier picture obviously is meant to evoke thoughts against Mickey Mouse, the Real Life hoodlum currently yanking Night Line and the ABC Evening News from dozens of cable systems across our American Homeland with pernicious greedy hank-robber type ultimatums. In this film, one-time Warner Bros. Savant Mike Maltese channels the Future by depicting the Walnut Ditsy Monolith as an out-of-control infantile gorilla, bound to filch the last banana from the Civilized World. Railing against the Gangster Rodent appears to be the primary main purpose of this Good Wolf series.
