Lindsay Lohan is a single lady and loving life!
The 31-year-old actress caught up with Et at the Daily Mail's Unwrap the Holidays party in New York City on Wednesday, where she dished on her love life and all her upcoming projects, including her involvement in a Mean Girls sequel and Life Size 2.
"We've spoken, but not enough," Lohan told Et about being in contact with Tyra Banks on a Life Size sequel. "Maybe when I'm here [in the U.S.], I can talk to her about it."
Back in August, Banks told Et that she was in "conversations" with Lohan about reprising her role and that the actress was "excited to come back."
As far as sequels go, Lohan is definitely "game" for a Mean Girls reunion.
"I'm here in New York, so Tina Fey better be hiding or I'm going to find her and Lorne Michaels. I know where his desk is," she joked, adding...

Update: I messed up and accidentally had Cormac McCarthy's original screenplay for Ridley Scott's The Counselor in the Adapted category. The article reflects the changes. The early 2014 Oscar predictions continue and now that we have an official date for the ceremony we realize we are making these predictions just under one year from when the actual awards will be handed out. So, of course things will change, screenplays will be added and some will be dropped, but that's all part of the fun. That said, this week I'm taking a look at the screenplay contenders and today we'll begin with Best Original Screenplay with my first look at Best Adapted Screenplay predictions arriving tomorrow. Just like any of the other categories, we are largely basing these predictions on previous efforts, what small amount of buzz there may be surrounding some of these titles and Academy tendencies. My top...

The Announcement
Director: Nelson George
On Thursday, November 7, 1991, Earvin “Magic” Johnson made the stunning announcement that he was HIV-positive and would be retiring from basketball immediately. The Announcement gets to the core of Magic’s incredible personal journey.
(World Premiere)
Film Synopsis (from SXSW.com)
Who’S It For? People who love Magic Johnson or have no idea about what it was like when he announced he was HIV-positive.
Overall
Where were you when he announced?
That’s a question that might not hit many people. When you realize I’m talking about an athlete, you might think, “Oh, you mean where did he announce where he was going to college?” But I’m talking about Magic Johnson’s announcement that he was HIV-positive. In 1991 this was huge. Bigger than anything else. I remember being glued to the TV, not fully understanding everything he said.

This story appears in the Dec. 16 issue of The Hollywood Reporter. Earvin "Magic"Johnson, now 52, won five NBA titles when he played for the 1980s "Showtime" Lakers; his Magic Johnson Enterprises, which once included a theater chain, was estimated by Forbes in 2009 to be worth $500 million; and as of Dec. 2, he was part of a bid to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers. But he threw up a brick when he entered the late-night talk show business with 1998's The Magic Hour, two years after ending his 13-year playing career. The Hollywood Reporter review said

LeBron James' playoff woes has become as integral a part of basketball as dribbling or Marv Albert. Stop us if you've heard this one:
A man asks LeBron James for change for a parking meter. LeBron gives the man 75 cents and walks away. The man shouts, "Hey, LeBron! I need a dollar!" LeBron replies "sorry, man, I don't have a fourth quarter."
Boom. But we can't even make a layup so who cares what we say. However, when Los Angeles Laker and all-time great Magic Johnson starts ripping you? That's gotta hurt.
At an on-campus appearance Saturday (Oct. 15) at the University at Albany, Magic starting laying into King James:
"There's going to always be great players in basketball. There's going to always be guys who win championships in the NBA, except LeBron..."
The remarks drew a mixed response, but Magic didn't let up:

The 11th annual Nevada City Film Festival, running Aug. 18-21, is four nights crammed full with short films, several feature-length documentaries, one dramatic feature, stand-up comedy performances and more surprises, all nestled within the rolling hills of Northern California.
The fest opens with the feature documentary Someplace With a Mountain, directed by Steve Goodall and narrated by Chevy Chase. The film tells the story of the embattled people of the Puluwat atoll who are besieged by the Pacific Ocean itself. Rising waters due to global warming are making their land slowly disappear beneath the waves.
Other feature docs include music-based films We Are Wizards, directed by Josh Koury, about the oddball phenomenon of rock bands that only craft songs about the world of Harry Potter; and Everyday Sunshine, directed by Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler, which profiles the legendary ska punk band Fishbone that continues to bring their enthusiastic music to the masses.

Magic Johnson. Photograph courtesy of Dove.As basketball legends go, Earvin “Magic” Johnson has a relatively untarnished record. Not just on the court—where he famously led the L.A. Lakers to five national championships—but also in his personal life. Unlike many of his peers, his name doesn’t immediately bring to mind cringe-worthy lowlights. He never retired from a three-peat N.B.A. championship team to play Minor League Baseball for the Scottsdale Scorpions, for instance. Or wrote a book about how he’d slept with 20,000 women. Or starred in a movie called Kazaam. Not that he’s avoided blunders entirely. There was The Magic Hour, his short-lived stint as a terrible talk-show host. And of course his shocking announcement in 1991 that he was H.I.V. positive. But he never played the victim or tried to pretend that early retirement was all part of his master plan.

The release of Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, one of the most hotly-anticipated albums of the year. The 13-track LP completes something of a comeback narrative for West that began with the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (when he was ostracized for crashing the stage during a Taylor Swift acceptance speech and went underground for a while) and was built up over the course of the past year with some key live performances, the "G.O.O.D. Friday" download series and the recently-released short film "Runaway." In fact, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is so dense and full of gems that it's necessary to take each song and break it down to its bare elements. This time around, we take a look at the references on "Devil in a New Dress."

After a few days of speculation, the news is now official: NBC confirmed that Jay Leno will be leaving his 10 o'clock time slot and returning to late-night. The last prime-time episode of "The Jay Leno Show" will air on February 12. There is currently no word on how the shake-up will effect Conan O'Brien (the host of "The Tonight Show," which airs in the 11:30 slot that Leno will be once-again assuming) or Jimmy Fallon (whose show airs after Conan's).
Though Leno ruled late night for years as the host of "The Tonight Show," he did not enjoy the same dominance when his new show launched back in September 2009. Though the show started strong, the ratings quickly bottomed out. The low numbers upset local affiliates, whose 11 p.m. newscasts were tanking because the lead-in audience was so low.

In case you haven’t heard the news, the Jay Leno Show set to premiere on NBC at 10 Pm Monday thru Friday every night is not the only thing new this fall. This fall it looks like there will be a new crop of late night talk shows set to premiere similar to the year when The Orlando Jones Show launched on FX, or when Magic Johnson launched his talk show titled The Magic Hour and when the Keenan Ivory Wayans Show (Hosted by Wayans) and Vibe Magazine’s late night talk show (Hosted by comedian Chris Spencer then comedian Sinbad) all aired at the same time in 1998.
Well, this year it looks like there is a new crop of comics set to launch a new late night talker in the fall. First up is the George Lopez show titled Lopez Tonight, set to be broadcast on TBS with a launch date of Nov.
