He's more dangerous than a factory full of pesticides

Warning: Spoilers
You'd expect a two reel comedy starring the basset hound faced Slim Summerville to be more in tune with his unforgettable personality than in this film which is closer to a Three Stooges short. Summerville is fired for creating all sorts of mayhem, then accused of kidnapping when young Bobby Larson decides to follow him aboard the freight train, ending up in a town that looks like it stepped out of a Z grade Western. With sheriff Chester Conklin on his trail, more chaos is about to ensue, no thanks to Larson's enthusiastic but unwanted presence. The idea of Summerville and Larson on the run is creepy enough on its own, even if Summerville is innocent of any wrongdoing. The film just isn't funny with its juvenile antics, and Summerville creates more damage in three minutes in the garden then a whole den of gophers could in an entire summer.
