A Happy, Christian Show of the 70's
kmcdonald9011 April 2006
I've seen this show since I was a child of 3. I'm not from the 70's generation either. I'm a 1990 child, but this show has been very popular for a long time.

It consists of about 12 children who sing songs, solve the problems of their growing up lives, and spread God's word.

The highlight I remember most is when the kids visit Jamaica and sing for a church there. I think for these kids, even though their lip syncing wasn't perfect, they did a very good job with what they had, and taught us a lot in the process.

They represent a camp, which still exists, in Canada mostly, The Circle Square Ranch.

What I can never forget is their theme song and address song. So fun, so catchy.

"Happy People come together, let your light shine. Sharing love with one another, let your light shine."

"So right us a letter here's our address, 2121 station F, Toronto, Ontario, N4Y2N9."

I can say that personally this show and others like it impacted me and other children during a important stage of growth in our lives. It also starts kids liking music, and teaches us about God in a way we could understand at a young age.

it still airs sometimes, on and off randomly, on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network)

Good Christian values!
corey-walker21 May 2006
I don't remember this series that well, but I remember growing up in the early 80's, and I often watched this show on TV. It was on fairly early in the morning (I think 6:00 or 7:00am, which is pretty early for young kids), and one place I often watched it was at my Aunt's house. She only had two channels, and this show was on one of them. Circle Square promoted good Christian values before the world decided that was uncool. It was a good family show produced by the same people that do 100 Huntley Street, and run CTS Television.

I remember two episodes in particular. One show dealt with the sudden death of a loved one, after the father fell through the barn roof and died. Another episode dealt with the dangers of hitchhiking. Sadly, the years have erased many of my other memories of this series. Should anybody else have more specific memories of the series, I hope they will post them here on the IMDb site.

Inspiring children again and again
cookenurse30 November 2017
Growing up in the 1970s, I looked forward to Circle Square each week on our local Barbadian TV station, CBC TV-8.

The show is inspirational and timeless: it is so important for children to embrace God, be inspired by positive music and encouraging messages.

Shows like these influence your life in a good way. I am 45-years- old, still remember the show periodically and can sing the closing song by heart - "So write us a letter, here's our address: 2121 Station F, Toronto, Ontario, N4Y2N9".

Our childhood experiences mold us into the adults we become. Let's keep on giving children something real and positive to hold on to - God.
