Warning: Spoilers
Will Death Nurse 2 reuse most of the first film and push me into a Shot on Video K hole in which I shake and shiver and scream for release? Yes, of course. It has to be this way.

You know when they used to set up movies serials and then bait and switch the ending so that all the ways you spent the last week debating how the hero would survive - yes, I know none of you were around in the 30s and 40s for this - and then they'd just screw around and do whatever?

This movie does that because all the tension of the detective at the door is defused when Nurse Edith Mortley just stabs him, feeds him to the rats and feeds the rats - endless repetition - to the patients.

"In the circle of life It's the wheel of fortune It's the leap of faith It's the band of hope Till we find our place On the path unwinding"

At least in this film we learn that Gordon is only a veterinarian - which explains the dog heart to human transplant in the original movie - and Edith never finished nursing school.

Edith kills everyone in this, getting away with everything, until the bodies start to stink, so she covers them with lime and the rats run into the streets and the movie ends the same way the last one did, with her slumped on the couch, waiting for the cops.

This movie takes footage from the last film, Criminally Insane and Satan's Black Wedding to extend its nearly sixty minutes of screen time and still feels too long by five hours.

The saga goes on (and on and on)
Sandcooler10 December 2012
Nick Millard's "Death Nurse" had a really open ending (it didn't as much end as it just stopped), so here's some more fodder for that all-important "is this even an actual movie?"-demographic. Usually watching a sequel without having seen the first one is a bad thing, but when it comes to this movie I really think it's actually less confusing that way. Two "actors" that got killed in the original return here as different characters, once and for all confirming the notion that Nick Millard doesn't have more than four or five friends. It's not just the actors that are familiar though: the hideous shot-on-video look, the hilariously unconvincing death scenes and even the complete non-ending also make their triumphant returns. And yet...dare I say this is actually a bit better than "Death Nurse 1"? The improvements are almost unnoticeable, but they're there. We get two new actors that do manage to breath some life into this mess, though don't expect either of them to be Ben Kingsley or something. We also get more outdoors footage, most of it is just a supermarket parking lot where you can't even hear what they're saying, but I'll take it. And lastly, rather than people with TB and whatnot this movie chooses to kill of mentally ill patients, who at least give us some good throwaway lines here and there. That's all I've got though: it's still pretty damn terrible.

Big Fail

Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand how the rating is so high. This movie is pathetic and terrible.

The story basically continues after the first, where a police officer is at the house,to visit a family member who checked into the clinic. And before leaving, the officer smells something, and goes back, but ends up getting killed. More and more people end up going to the clinic (One is played by the alcoholic from the first). The movie ends with another officer going to the 'clinic' saying how the rats that were in the basement were driven out,and there are bits of human flesh in the yard. The movie ends there, and we don't know what happens. Whether Edith lost or killed that officer is never mentioned.

I don't get why people like this movie so much. The acting is horrible. The film quality is really grainy and terrible and there will occasionally be a frame stuck, because they edited it so poorly. And the 'clinic' isn't even close to a hospital. And just like in the first Death Nurse, there is a lot of clips from Criminally Insane thrown in.It's ridiculous.

I still don't know how or why this rating is as high as it is.If you like crappy movies, then go see it.But I wouldn't recommend you wasting your time on it though.

Hideous, Awful, Horrendous,....and those are it's good points!

At this point the "Crazy Fat Ethel" series is now beyond frustrating. It is downright dumbfounding! I don't know which is more pathetic, Nick Millard for making this crap or the people (probably only those who are in this home video attempt at making a movie)who can actually sit through this crap! I could not even finish watching this one it was THAT bad (and I believe the running time is only less than 60 minutes)! For a laughable Z-grade horror flick, the original "Criminally Insane" was pretty good...but enough is enough! Once again we are forced to watch even more footage from "Criminally Insane" in this one. If you took all of the original footage from "Criminally Insane" out of "Crazy Fat Ethel 2" "Death Nurse" and "Death Nurse 2" and then combined the remaining footage together you still wouldn't have anything close to a full length film. If you like watching old ladies run around in their night gowns and a film that is so cheap that they simply re-hire the same actresses to re-hatch their original roles (trying to pass them off as the 'sisters' of the original victims) than this film is for you...otherwise this 'movie' and it's 2 predecessors have absolutely no redeeming value what so ever!

The beginning of the video revolution
Tasty_Kakes17 December 2002
For the second half of the 1900's, there have been few cinematic advancements that would qualify as great sequels. Among these selections, one would include: The Godfather II, DGITW 2, Empire Strikes Back, and of course, Death Nurse II. Steve Millard, aka Phillip Miller, aka Nick Philips, aka Nick Phillips delivers a tour-de- force of modern day filmmaking as he ignores the conventions and restraints involved with 35mm and takes the experimental route. Unlike many directors who dwell on shot selection, controlled lighting, and mise-en-scene, Millard-Phillips developed his own style and used video as his format. Current autuers who have disregarded film in order to shoot digital have Millard-Phillips to thank, for he was doing it years before the digital revolution. Not only did he have the courage to take the slasher genre to a new level, he was able to create an absolute masterpiece with, of course, the help of a star-studded cast. Pricilla Alden shines with an unforgettable performance as the cruel, yet lovable Edith Mortley R.N. and the return of Hope, aka Faith, aka Charity was sure not to leave a dry eye in the theater. So when one thinks of the great maverick filmmakers of the last century, be sure to include Steve or Nick Millard-Phillips along with the usual list of Cassavetes, Godard, and Bergman.

Again, another film where we have to see the same footage from Criminally Insane. I liked "Criminally Insane" but stop it, just stop it! This isn't Crazy Fat Ethel 4! It's not even a sequel either! This is just a 56 minute mess. I couldn't bare to watch anymore of it. Why does this still exist? Seriously, I have been asking this for years now! The actresses return as different characters, only because Nick has no life or friends that he can hire, but I bet they can make a better movie than Death Nurse.

This could have the worst quality I've seen in a while. It could have the worst camera too. I mean, in one scene, everything was just so noisy I thought that was just the sound of fart noises mixed with rare VHS audio. Least this sequel doesn't have the hole digging scenes from the first film.

More glorious anti-art from the tireless Nick Millard
Woodyanders10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Evil R.N. Edith Mortley (robustly played with lip-smacking wicked relish by the redoubtable Priscilla Alden) and her quack "doctor" brother Gordon (an amusingly dweeby portrayal by Albert Eskinazi) continue to practice their own lethal form of health care.

Nick Millard once again strikes all the right wrong notes with jaw-dropping (and often gut-busting) ineptitude: The clumsily staged murder set pieces, plodding pace, a droning monotonous synthesizer score, ham-fisted (mis)direction, copious filler footage from "Criminally Insane," fumbling attempts at pitch-black gallows humor, wonky sound, and slipshod editing all combine together to deliver a wealth of unintentional belly laughs. Nick's wife Irmgard Millard contributes a hilariously unhinged turn as crazy and dangerous profanity-spewing bag lady alcoholic Brownie, Nick's dear old mom Frances ain't half bad as Faith Chandler's pesky twin sister Charity, and Nick himself does his best tough guy act as stalwart detective Sgt. David Gallagher. An absolute crummy hoot.

The Death Nurse is Back

Death Nurse 2 (1988)

BOMB (out of 4)

Sequel to the 1987 hit DEATH NURSE (I'm kidding on the hit part) has Priscilla Alden returning to the role of the nurse who takes in patients to her home where she's supposed to be taking care of them but instead she's slaughtering them and feeding them to the rats in the garage.

Director Nick Millard's sequel is pretty much the same as the previous movie and it goes a step further in regards to its ultra low-budget. The original 1987 film lifted a lot of footage from the director's 1975 film CRIMINALLY INSANE but this sequel goes a step further and borrows footage from not only it but the 1987 original as well! Many people consider the two CRIMINALLY INSANE and DEATH NURSE movies as the same series since it does feature so much footage as well as the same star and director.

It really doesn't matter how you look at it because this film is pretty darn bad. If a gun was held to my head and I had to say which one was worse I'd probably give the vote to this one here since there's so much footage borrowed from not just one but two movies. As with DEATH NURSE, this sequel features awful acting, bad special effects and laughable editing that appears to have been done between two VHS recorders.

As I said in my review to the first film, I admire any filmmaker no matter how bad the film in question is. It's certainly better to make a movie than just review one but it's hard to defend anything in DEATH NURSE 2.
