Three groups of two contestants each face up to each other. One stands in front, unable to see their partners, and presses the buzzer while the other answers the question. The longer waited before buzzing the more points available - however the "buzzer" must risk that their partner knows the answer. Hence the onus is on the buzzers to try and psyche each other out while still getting points. This continues until one couple are left who then buzz for each other for up to £1,000 per question.
This is yet another huge leap to get to a game show that allows the Weakest Link themes - contestant elimination and insults by the host. However it doesn't seem to work - there's not a huge amount of skill involved and, because a wrong answer gives the other groups a huge number of points, the smartest ones never seem to go through due to bad luck - honestly, you could be pig-thick and just fluke it on the others' wrong answers. However most of the quiz is set-up to give the host, Ruby Wax, plenty of time of relaxed, chatty, insults for the contestants. Wax is quite witty but it always seems like she grappling to be insulting enough to satisfy the audience without going so far that the contestants stop enjoying it.
As a piece of Saturday night TV it doesn't need to be art - and indeed it isn't - in fact it obviously tries to hard to make jokes instead of being a straight quiz. Overall this is a pale show of "Weakest Link" despite the best efforts of Wax.
