An epic story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption. All sounds quite promising (read it in your best voiceover man voice) for the sequel to the Academy Award winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Titled, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Sword of Destiny, the sequel has been over 15 years in the making. Netflix and the Weinstein company are behind the follow up, if you can call it that. Unfortunately, Sword of Destiny, doesn't feel like a sequel in any shape or form. While the likes of Michelle Yeoh return, her part seems a bit more restrained or reserved this time round, with the likes of Donnie Yen picking up the slack. That aside however, the movie fails to recapture the spirit and heart of the original. Putting the sequel thing to one side, as a stand alone movie, Sword of Destiny certainly has it's moments.

The Warcraft movie has unveiled a brand new poster, a trio of new pictures and a title change ahead of a trailer debut this Friday (November 6).
Now known as Warcraft: The Beginning (a surefire sign that Universal want a franchise), the one-sheet shows lead characters Orgrim (Robert Kazinsky) and Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) split by the Dragon Sword.
Are video game movies about to get good with Warcraft and Assassin's Creed?
The Duncan Jones-directed movie is inspired by the Warcraft video game series and will take place in the world of Azeroth.
Expect the storyline to dive into the first encounters between humans and orcs across a myriad of digitally-rendered backdrops recognisable from the game series.
Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell and Dominic Cooper are also among the cast for the film, which will premiere on June 3, 2016 in the UK and June 10 in the Us.

Clever fans have inspired Lego to make many awesome sets of toy blocks based on their home-made creations, from Back to the Future to Ghostbusters.
Now with official playsets for The Big Bang Theory and Doctor Who expected later this year, we thought it was time we made something like last year's movies compilation and put together a wish list of our dream TV-themed box of bricks.
Come on, Lego, these are all but a licensing contract away.
1. Top Gear
This 540-piece set is slowly gaining support on the Lego Ideas website, and has so far reached over 2,000 of its required 10,000 votes for Lego to take it seriously. Clarkson may be on his way out, but the set still includes him and fellow members James May, Richard Hammond and The Stig, as well as two camera crew members, a Broken Toyota Hilux and a Power Lap board with lap times.

Biscuits! Cookies! Gingerbread! It was crunch time (sorry) in the Great British Bake Off tent this week as the remaining eleven contestants weathered three dastardly Biscuit Week challenges - but who went crackers and who jammie dodged an early exit (oh God, we're sorry)...
The signature challenge - biscuits for cheese
First up, the bakers all had to create 36 savoury biscuits to go with cheese ("cheesier than an Abba tribute band at a fondue all night bash", Sue ordered). We figure that turns out as 396 biscuits in total. Mary's cheese and wine nights must be pretty epic.
Nancy had to get used to using in-date ingredients. "I used three teaspoons of fennel at home and that was spot on, but I think it was probably out of date," she confessed, to Mary's pursed lips. Who doesn't have forgotten, out-of-date herbs at the back of their cupboard, though? This is possibly...

Legendary’s long-in-development Warcraft movie had a presence at last year’s Comic-Con, with a teaser trailer, so there’s no reason to expect that we won’t be finding out a lot more about the Duncan Jones-directed fantasy epic in the next few days. We already knew that the plot of the World of Warcraft adaptation would feature “Anduin Lothar versus Durotan, Human and Orc heroes from the original real-time strategy games,” but now Comic-Con attendees have glimped a new logo for Warcraft, in addition to some props that Legendary put out on display.
Luckily, Legendary tweeted the logo for all of us stuck behind the desk and not galavanting around San Diego right now, and I’ve enclosed that tweet below.

While I was visiting the Legendary booth at Comic-Con, I saw that they had a logo for Duncan Jones' Warcraft along with some badass weaponry from the movie! I took a few photos of them so you can see them for yourself. They were behind some glass so there is some major glare.
The most famous of the weapons is the Doomhammer. It's called the Doomhammer because "when its owner takes it into battle, it spells doom for the enemy." The orc weapon was unleashed in the name of the Horde. They also have the Dragon Sword, and the Lion Shield, which is a symbol of the strength of Azeroth.
Warcraft stars Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu, and Clancy Brown. There's still not much known about the movie or the story, but Foster had this to say about it a...

Like comic books, 80s toy lines and young adult novels, fairy tales are the current fad that is taking Hollywood by storm.
It could be a delayed effect from the popularity of Guillermo Del Toro and Tim Burton or it could be the collective yearning for a simpler time. So we have more literal adaptations (Mirror,Mirror and Tangled) and we have the darker revisionist takes (Snow White and the Huntsman, the forthcoming Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters). The craze hasn’t been limited to films either, on TV this past season we have had competing revisionist fairy tale shows with Once Upon a Time and Grimm.
The first season of Grimm sets the scene perfectly for possible greatness to come but in its current form the first season is merely a stepping stone rather than great must-see TV.

ABC executives have been mostly mum about the late-season arrival of James Purefoy, the hunky British actor who joins the cast of Revenge as the show returns from hiatus on April 18.
It was announced in January that Purefoy would portray Dominik Wright, the mysterious old flame of the show's cunning matriarch, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), but though producer Mike Kelley has called Dominik "an artist," that's about all we know about him. Purefoy has not yet given interviews about his role -- as far as I know -- possibly because he's swamped. He's also preparing to play a serial killer opposite Kevin Bacon in a high-profile Fox pilot, scheduled for the 2012-2013 season. This means that Dominik's wooing of La Grayson may be short and sweet -- or spicy and not so sweet -- spanning just a few episodes. After all, the show's title and theme affect each character's motives,...

“So, this is the beginning of the End of the World?”
Ninja Gaiden 3 is almost here, the latest in the Ryu Hayabusa saga since the series’ relaunch in 2004. This game takes a slightly different direction than its predecessors. Now the infamous Dragon Sword has become one with Ryu. As Ryu takes down his opponents, he also suffers the fury of the sword.
In this trailer, you’ll get to see just what that means. Watch his right arm. It looks as though it’s heavily burned, but the “scarred” skin is really the pain inflicted by the Dragon Sword. It’s as though the Dragon Sword is infecting his arm with its own demon.
Ninja Gaiden 3 hits Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 20, 2012.

As Age Of The Dragons arrives on DVD and Blu-ray, Duncan takes a look at the history of dragons in the movies…
It's no wonder so many of us have grown up geeky, for dragons have been a strong mainstay of children's movies for decades now. With their inextricable link to the fantasy genre, many of us have been brainwashed into a fixation with them before we even knew what was happening. Well, that's a decent enough excuse, anyway, should you ever find yourself needing one in a dragon-based argument, which I'm sure there aren't nearly enough of.
Pity the children growing up from the mid-nineties onwards, as they've barely been able to make it through one whole year without a dragon movie being released, a trend which sees no sign of slowing. This year has already seen the release of Age Of The Dragons, starring Danny Glover and Vinnie Jones...

The Nintendo 3Ds is coming, whether you like it or not. As it turns out, we're in the "like it" group...at least from the little we've heard so far. But as they say in the gaming world, it's all about the software. Here are five games that need to be made for the Nintendo 3Ds.
Star Fox 3
Yeah, that's right. "Star Fox 3." Nintendo hires Q-Games to jump back on the Lylat Wars bus, with Dylan Cuthbert at the helm to create an official sequel to 1996's unreleased "Star Fox 2." Prepped for the 3Ds launch—and following a "Star Fox 2" release on Virtual Console—"Star Fox 3" will act as a technological benchmark for three-dimensional game presentation, just like it did with the FX Chip back in the day. When you do a barrel roll in your highly detailed, cel-shaded Arwing, the fighter will look like you can touch it in the real world.

Patrick Swayze was a charming cinematic rogue who starred as Sam Wheat in the romantic fantasy Ghost (1990). He portrayed the murdered lover of Demi Moore, who was able to communicate with his wife through a psychic, played by Whoopi Goldberg in an Oscar-winning performance.
Swayze was born in Houston, Texas, on April 18, 1952. His mother was choreographer Patsy Swayze, and Patrick trained as a dancer in the early 1970s. He made his film debut in the roller-disco flick Skatetown, U.S.A. in 1979.

British movie star James Purefoy loves signing up for swordfighting epics - because it's a cheap way of updating his impressive blade collection.
The Resident Evil star always insists on keeping the swords his characters have wielded in projects like A Knight's Tale, Rome, Don Quixote and George & The Dragon and he's built up a cache of weapons.
He tells WENN, "I keep them all in the hall of my house just in case I have to face any marauding west London invaders!
"I don't think they're worth much, maybe three or four pounds! I have one from George and The Dragon, one from Solomon Kane, Don Quixote, Lancelot and I'm about to do another sword movie (Ironclad), so I'll have one from that one as well.
