Not as strong as some in the series

Two-part drama. The police pick up a sailor, who has been drugged and tanned with some sort of coloring matter. King Baggot, in his familiar role of detective, unravels the mystery before the observer in an entertaining manner. The scenes are laid in New York office buildings and there is a love element in the plot. The observer is kept guessing through most of the two reels, and while this is not as strong as some in the series, it makes an interesting yarn. - The Moving Picture World, March 28, 1914
