Elvis would be proud that it has finally been released after nearly 30 years in the back of a pick up truck!

What can you say bad about a movie that Elvis had touched with his own hand and his own money? He commissioned the movie in 1973 to be done by George Waite and Bob Hammer. The movie is rough in a finished state but if you are like me and love the karate of the 70's then you will love it. The music selected by David Crosby andGraham Nash is perfect and movie was shot by Paul Davio and John Hora who were later both nominated for academy awards. The movie is excellent and even though it is slow in the middle the fights between Benny Urquidez and Roy Kurban and the fights between Ron Marchini and Geert Lemmens are spectaculiar. Check it out you will love it.

Elvis Made this movie and it isn't great but it combines the important things and it is really something else if you compare it to other movies of the sort.

Finally it became available after lying 30 in a truck, and i think the effort of bringing it available was the right choice, Elvis would wanted it and it is something rare.

I give it a 7 out of 10 rating because it isn't great but it is nice in it's own way and because Elvis made this movie possible it is a rare movie with original things in it. Good enough for me and i think that the majority of the critics agrees with me on this.

No Elvis Presley on it

Well, "New Gladiators" was Elvis Presley's little dream in the 1970's. He was planning to produce feature documentary starring karate champions, and appear himself as an narrator.

Well, always when they would have time to shoot, Elvis didn't want to. He was ill or he had something better to do, but one day they get Elvis to the karate hall where Elvis made few karate tricks, and it sure was fun to watch. It was fun to watch then, and it was fun to watch in 2005 in DVD of "Elvis by the Presleys".

Anyway, this documentary doesn't include Elvis Presley at all. It's wrong to say that it's written by Elvis Presley, because the film was never made. Elvis wouldn't have like this because it's nothing like he was planned it to be.

7/10 because it's better than many sport documentaries.

Was Actually filmed in 1974.

Footage available makes this project was more of a documentary than the action flick Elvis intended it to be.
