Circa seventies when Philippines was in the lawless stage before the martial law. Nardo was given an amulet, suppose to make him superman, no bullet nor knife will kill him, with an exception. The amulet will only works if he is in the mud, or anywhere in the mud.
Without mud, Nardo is just another mortal being. The story is about Nardo, with his new found power, tries to correct injustice and help the poor, eventually he become the public enemy number one. The law finally catch up with him. Moral of the story, no one is above the law.
PS. Some say Nardong Putik does exist in his time. Some say this is an urban legend, some says he passed his amulet to his son in order to save his son. Who knows what really happen.
