Simple yet adorable

The short film begins with a large creature planting seeds. They soon sprout and the creature harvests what appear to be tiny versions of itself. However, inexplicably, one of the creatures looks odd and the other babies make fun of him (or her). Despite its efforts to fit in, it just isn't going to happen. Fortunately, there is a happy ending and the entire thing is highly reminiscent of the classic tale, "The Ugly Dickling".

This is a very simple CG story, yet despite having no words and just a bunch of silly looking creatures, it is an excellent film. Decent animation, cute character design and a nice comedic touch--this one is worth a look.

Tasty little watch...

I watched this film not long ago on Nicktoons and I was, in an instant, hooked. It seemed as though this film was simply made perfect without effort. The film was massively cute and funny. It was fresh and original with not-too-detailed animation, no dialogue which can complicate the situations, and a wonderful form of music. The plot was tops, too. It was about a small, green vegetable who goes on a search for his family. He can't find vegetables which look like him, and so he feels lost. He makes some interesting discoveries along the way. Finally, this film is charming and if anyone out there may stumble across it, I say give it a watch.

Bert is a cg-animated short film about a vegetable's search for a family. It's just this funny little movie. There's no dialog, which is good because it lets the music become the dominant noise, and the music's just great. Overall it's a nice little flick which I actually laughed out loud at a few times throughout.
