Of course that are people who never watched a Betty Boop's movie, but for such an old character from the 30's, she still is very popular. With her sexuality, Betty was a hit at that time and she is the first cartoon character to fully represent a sexual woman. She wore short dresses, her breasts were prominent, and she showed her cleavage, but her personality was always more like a girl-like. (Specially because I discovered that she was only 16 years old!) I usually like her a lot, but in ''The Romance of Betty Boop'', Betty acts as a woman who only cares about her husband's money, since she is tired of working and is interested in a millionaire. This made me found the character less appealing then in other episodes.
But happily she learns her lesson in the end, when she sees that a guy being a millionaire doesn't mean anything, specially because the poor guy who sells ice ( I forgot his name right now), is the one who really cares about her and goes to save her from a gangster.
