Woman in the picture

Warning: Spoilers
Another gem I comment from this so rare TV show. It is again produced and directed by Curt Siodmak. When I watched it I thought of Fritz Lang's WOMAN IN THE WINDOW. I guess Curt Siodmak did too when he wrote the screenplay of this episode. See for yourself. The story of a young doctor who goes to a painter to heal him because of a hard fever. When he arrives to the man's flat, he sees him paint a picture of a mysterious woman. And, as you can guess, the young doctor becomes obsessed by this picture and this woman too. And that's when the story becomes very interesting, intriguing. Especially towards the ending.

Of course, I don't know the actors, because it is a Swedish production, even if it is hosted by Lon Chaney Jr.

Alf Kjellin guest stars
kevinolzak2 November 2014
"Fever" is still another terrible episode, featuring actor/director Alf Kjellin here performing in his native Sweden, as a doctor named Franz, hired to treat another doctor's charity cases for a short time, patients suffering from flu-like symptoms. His first call is to Otto Szegety (Alan Blair, also seen in "Never Steal a Warlock's Wife" and "Black Nemesis"), an artist determined to stay away from the hospital, whose most frequent model, Inez (Karen Stefanee), magically appears in a window in front of the instantly smitten Franz. No matter where he goes he cannot forget about Inez, learning that Szegety has some kind of hold over her, from which only Franz can save her. From beginning to end absolutely nothing holds up, resulting in the worst episode yet, and host Lon Chaney denied any effective coda. Karen Stefanee was best known as Karen Kadler, co-star of Roger Corman's "It Conquered the World," her main claim to fame the reedited 1962 feature comprised of three other episodes of 13 DEMON STREET, "The Devil's Messenger" (Jill Donohue, in a smaller role, also appeared in "Murder in the Mirror," while Hilda Bruce Potter returned in both "Never Steal a Warlock's Wife" and "Black Nemesis").
