A Touch of Eastern Promise
Prismark1022 March 2020
Charlie Hungerford wants to build an all weather leisure resort. In short a hotel complex and a waterpark with a retractable glass roof.

To finance it he has got an arab investor, Zaki Mansoor. Together with a dodgy arab banker who is already on the island they plan to fleece Charlie Hungerford and his investors.

However Zaki attracts the attention of someone trying to kill him. It seems his own government has little time for him. However Zaki is someone who can look after himself.

Putting aside the notion that an Arab government would opt to kill someone abroad if they can do it more easily in their own country. Even the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed in 2018 after he went to the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

It was only a matter of time before a dodgy arab visited Jersey. At least Zaki turns out to be more cunning and resourceful.

Eastern Promise

Charlie Hungerford is planning on building a massive hotel resort on Jersey, and invites Arab businessman Zaki Mansoor (Nadim Sawalha) to invest. However, Zaki is in cahoots with Adnan Rashid (Zia Moheyedinn) to swindle Charlie and the other investors.

Overall, this was a pretty standard episode. Nadim Sawalha is good, but other than that, this was fairly forgettable. 2.5/5
