I actually remember this one from when it first aired...

... and I recalled it as being very funny. I'd love to have this series on DVD, but alas the original Bill Cosby Show where Bill Cosby starred as Chet Kincaid, high school coach, only ran two seasons from 1969 to 1971 before being cancelled and pretty much fell into oblivion. It would be 1984 before Cosby would find real success on television. So when I ran across a copy of this episode on youtube, I was anxious to view it again. Oh how times have changed in some respects.

Chet Kincaid has a new member on the basketball team, Bob Nicholson, and he's a good player. For the first time the team is winning games. However, after their very first win Bob lets loose with some profanity, sounding like the RoadRunner's BEEP BEEP for the sake of the audience's delicate ears.

Chet tries to have a talk with Bob about this, but Bob is clueless as to why this is a problem. Next, Chet talks to Bob's mother, who lets loose with a string of profanities in an off hand way. Chet realizes he is not going to get sympathetic ears - or a sympathetic mouth - from Bob's parents.

Soon this profanity habit is spreading to the team. Chet tries punishing the team with additional exercise when this happens, but soon realizes this is not working. He finally tells the team - You need to fix this problem among yourselves or else we are going to get multiple penalties when playing games, and we've only been winning by two points or three points.

It turns out that when Bob has somebody on whom he wishes to make an impression, it is then that he takes the lead to shut down the bad language from himself and the rest of the team.

It was a cute episode, but I doubt anybody in Gen Z would understand what the BEEP BEEP big deal is.
