Once again continuity goes out the window! In an early episode Del was willing to pretend to be gay in order to help Richard, but here seems unwilling to go along with a hair brained scheme of Charlie's that will see them pose as a gay couple.
That plot is actually the best of the episode (though I'm always dubious about being gay being used as a punch line), with a structure not similar to the film 'Three To Tango'.
The rest of the episode isn't that great, with the Richard story being poor, and Caroline oddly getting sucked up into a conflict between Annie and her Mum.
Yes, it has a sweet ending, but this was a weaker episode overall.
