In a castle far away from the castle of the previous episode, yet looking exactly the same, a princess is taken away by barbarian riders just before her marriage to Lord Ursath (John DeMita). A witch suggests to Ursath that Conan might help him. Lightnings out of the blue sky tell Conan that his presence is requested by sorcery. He is wise enough to avoid magic invitations and tries to take a different road, but a green-eyed tree monster lurks for him already. Sooner or later, Conan ends up in Ursath's castle. Ursath says: My bride was abducted, and I will pay 100 pieces of gold if you bring her back to me", to which Conan, always the practical thinker, replies: Find another bride, it's less trouble for both of us." However, Ursath knows the powers of persuasion and makes another offer... Although rescue the princess" is hardly a new story idea for fantasy movies, it's at least used for the first time in the Conan series.
