Warriors in black, led by a wizard who probably is a ally of Hissah Zul, are attacking an old man. Conan and his friends try to help him, but it's too late. The dying man gives a magic crystal arrow to Conan. The Cimmerian is not a collector a magic items, but when he hears that Hissah Zul wants the arrow, too, he has to ignore his dislike for once. As their voyage continues, Conan meets two ladies who are interested in the crystal arrow: one is Karella, the other Zotana (Justina Vail), a sorceress who does some juggling and simple magical tricks at a traveling fair, like letting a purse rise up into the air. The two women dislike each other from the moment they meet. Beware, thief, my magic is real. I have studied the black arts", Zotana claims. Yes, one might never know when he'll need an object raised", Karella replies, considering she just saw the sorceress kissing Conan, arguably the naughtiest joke of the entire season. The crystal arrow works as a key to a magic gate. Conan and his friends therefore go to explore the misty country beyond the gate... OK episode, but nothing special.
