The premise here is silly, even over the top, and very few shows could pull it off convincingly. But The Cosby Show is one of them and this is riotous fun as a result. Hilarious from start to finish. One of the better episodes of the later seasons with the show starting to slip a little bit.

I guess they are still contractually required to release new episodes.
This is without question the stupidest Cosby Show episode I have ever seen.
Couldn't they tell while they were filming it that it wasn't working? Absolutely no humor whatsoever.
