"Some birds are meant to nest, some are meant to fly."
JordanThomasHall27 March 2019
Eddie and some of his friends have been spending time with the woman who has moved into the penthouse apartment, Miss Valerie Bessinger (Suzanne Pleshette, "The Bob Newhart Show"). She is giving the kids group lessons over varied fun subjects. Tom is shocked to see that she made Eddie a teddy bear cut from an American flag. He confronts her on the federal offense that she brushes off but thanks him and agrees to never do it again. Through it they become attracted to one another and make an informal dinner date for the next night. When Tom arrives, Valerie is in a nice dress blasting patriotic music with a large waving flag. The free spirit quickly accepts important well-dressed guests in Senator Goldrich (Patrick O'Moore, "Conflict") and Mrs. Goldrich (Natalie Masters, "Dragnet"). Tom is fascinated by her, perplexed by the games she plays, and is quickly falling for her. Norman suggests it may be a mistake.

Moral: "Some birds are meant to nest, some are meant to fly."
