You'll never make love in this town again
safenoe15 January 2020
Murder by the Book was broadcast on 19 April 1996, just a few months after You'll Never Make Love in this Town Again, a kiss-and-tell (and then some) book was published about three prostitutes and an actress and their encounters with celebrities and powerful Australian media mogul Kerry Packer (who died in 2005 with fond memories of his Las Vegas exploits no doubt). Murder by the Book somewhat resembles You'll Never Make Love in this Town Again, although with a murderous twist that puts Dr Sloan (Dick Van Dyke) on the trail amidst sordid tales of senators and celebrities. Rick Dees makes a guest appearance in this episode that is lots of fun.

Warning: Spoilers
I watched just about all of the DM TV shows. Some are 7/10. This one is stupid. Bad guy killing women. She opens the door for him and guess what? He kills her. Stupid.

Ridiculous, silly

Warning: Spoilers
Let's see where do I begin.

Radio station would never have allowed the broadcast over the air. It would have been cut as soon as it got dicey.

The "producer" of the book is the stereotypical "just cares about the book tour and the money it will make", even though one of the girls has been kidnapped--a cliched bad guy character.

These girls do nothing that would be normal after one of their partner gets kidnapped or murdered. They are left alone a lot. They open doors to people that could be dangerous instead of checking with Steve.

Badly written..
