Blair has volunteered Xmas entertainment for the "boys' home" Nickleby House but then she learns it's actually a men's prison.
It's episodes like this that make me wonder if my Top Xmas Episodes Countdown was a good idea. Man, this is BAD. And not even in a so-bad-it's-brilliant way, either. It's like watching bad karaoke. I loved FACTS back in the day, but I either missed this one or completely blocked it out. These girls had great chemistry together, but they CANNOT sing or dance.
Jo and Natalie duet on "We Need a Little Xmas"; Mrs. G totally butchers "O Holy Night"; Tootie (who's supposed to be the big aspiring actress) does a medley of "Jingle Bell Rock", "Winter Wonderland" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Xmas". She sounds flat and out-of-breath. Blair leads the big encore singing "I'll Be Home For Xmas" acapella. Lisa Whelchel was supposed to be the singer of the group but even she sounds very amateurish.
Watch at your own risk. Makes that weird Season 2 musical episode of ROSEANNE look like A CHORUS LINE. 3/10.
