Wonder if Alan Reed could of pulled it off and did his own singing? Such a talented voice actor I'm assuming he could hold a passable tune. Singing Fred (Duke Mitchell) was melodious but not humorous like a classic cartoon actor's voice would have been. The teen parts were bland and somewhat generic. I enjoyed Mel Blanc voicing the Colonel and his thinly veiled references to Elvis Presley. The amusement park was unusual that it was lacking customers until the end of the visit. Not a horrible episode. But, definitely lacking any big laughs that are common so far in many of the better season one episodes.

Some Night Out!
carchero9 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
When Wilma and Betty complain that the guys never take them out. Fred comes up with the idea of taking them to the amusement park. Wilma protests at first, but Betty talks her into it. The guys have fun while the girls are miserable. However, the real fun starts when Fred makes a record, but leaves it in the park's recording booth. Some kids find it and flip over it! After a record company's search for the unknown singer leads them to Fred, they immediately dress Fred up and hit the road! Wilma and Betty think they will be traveling in style, but they end up in a ragged, old truck and at a series of concerts where Fred sings the same song over and over! Feeling they will go insane if this continues, the girls devise a plan to save their sanity! The southern road manager steals each scene he's in by always referring to a "Georgia-boy" that sounds a lot like Elvis Presley! Fred's singing and stage routine makes for a lot of laughs along with the teens following his concerts! This is one of my favorite Flintstones episodes!
