One of the most interesting aspects of The Fiintstones was how the show played against its own premise. The characters were contemporary. The setting was the Stone Age, but they had everything that was current in the 1960s, just Stone Age versions of everything. In this episode, we meet Gazoo, voiced by the great Harvey Korman. Gazoo would have been futuristic to a '60s setting, let alone the Stone Age. Korman was absolutely needed to make this character work. However, it was curious that Gazoo's initial appearance was well into the 6th season of the show-and then his subsequent appearances were sporadic. Perhaps, a 7th season was planned, but didn't happen.
