Underrated episode

Warning: Spoilers
While I say that about a number of favorite episode from various series this one feels particularly underrated.

Fred doesn't get an expected raise and looks for another job. He nearly choked when he finds out it's to drive a school bus! Must have been stressful even back then. I agree the various stops on the way with the kids and their mothers is particularly funny. It's a rare look at more of Bedrock's population.

Fred's break at a diner for the bus drivers is both funny and a little spooky!

Fred ends up on an extra important errand at the end of his first time letting the kids off. Later Barney shows up at Fred and Wilma's. Fred never picked him up. Meanwhile it seems Fred is leaving kids at the wrong houses and in the middle of the freeway ( accidentally of course) . Everyone shows up at the hospital including Mr Slate to give Fred a dangerous job, Fred " Dangerous? After driving a school bus?!" It's driving a dynamite truck . Fred says he'll take that cinchy job! We then see what Fred was doing. He drove an expectant mother to the hospital where Fred becomes godfather to triplets all girls and all named Fred!

A top ten episode for me.

Fred The Bus Driver

Fred is frustrated not getting a raise after 13 years so he quits his job at the gravel pit.

One of Season 2's funniest. Fred decides to take a job asking for a go-getter and he finds out it is as a school bus driver. Many funny scenes he picks up the kids, one is a fledging ballet dancer, two fighting twins and the smart aleck son of the bus company president. Also hilarious is a scene where he meets other bus drivers are driven crazy from the job.

True classic episode.

Very witty writing with brilliant voice actors doing a wide range of hilarious voices. I always remember the stellar scenes from watching years ago as a kid. Barney (Mel Blanc) reading off the bus driver's handbook again showed how talented a comedy team he was with Alan Reed. Bus route moms and riders meetiing the bus was wonderful with comical accents showing their wide scope of characters.

Fun hearing Hal Smith and a surprise hearing Sandra Gould (2nd Mrs Gravitz "Bewitched"). The actors changing their voices to do kids was amazing how talented they were to pull that off. Mel Blanc extra voices always provide a good laugh.
