A Phil Karlson product is always worth watching.
searchanddestroy-118 March 2020
Yes, anything that Phil Karlson makes as a director is worth seeing, especially if it is about cops, mobs and noir atmosphere. Arthur Kennedy plays here the lead character, a cop accused of something he was innocent of. He has a wife,a baby and also a good friend, played by Lee J Cobb, a cop too. One rainy night, the framed heat Kennedy goes outside his home for a strange escapade, especially for a cop...Well this story is a bit too much talkative for a Phil Karlson stuff, but it is well done and acted in a so convincing way; look for yourself, besides Kennedy you have Cobb but also Luther Adler and Ernest Borgnine. As in a long length film. The sequence between Borgnine and Kennedy is the highlight of this episode, don't miss it.
