The One With Pressure...
taylorkingston21 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this episode. I'm happy that Stephanie finally makes some friends, even if they were pressuring her to do something she didn't particularly want to do. But I am glad that Mickey supported her decision not to smoke.

In this episode, Stephanie makes some new friends, but with this, also comes pressure. Her friends all smoke, so should be smoking as well? Does she want to fit in that badly? Since Joey, and Jesse are hosting a new radio show about teens, which they can't decide to call Teen Talk, or Yakkin' With Youth, personally I like Teen Talk, anyway, since they have this show, Stephanie calls up asking about the pressure, using an alias.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

One of the best from the season

Warning: Spoilers
Season 7 was very hit or miss, but whenever Full House decides to tackle important issues they automatically stand out from the majority which tend to always take a similar route. The episodes including the underage drinking, the abusive father, earthquakes, the one when Dj is trying to loose an unhealthy amount of weight. There is many more but this another one when Stephanie has to decide if she's gonna smoke with her new friends. This is a great peer pressure episode about smoking. It also has some alright funny moments like when Stephanie calls Joey and Jesse's radio show, I can't remember the name she used tho. I believe Dj and Steve are there as well and Steve is always a highlight he's hilarious. It does of course have the cliche talk at the end but at least the subject matter is quite important. Stephanie of course ends up choosing against smoking. The dialogue in the bathroom scene after she's making up her mind is quite cheesy but I will give her the "you should know you've been there for 3 years" which if that's true as Kelso would say BURNNN. I will say Mia Sokoloff is actually quite a good child actor as well as the other girl in there who's more of a friend with Stephanie then Gia, Mickey played by Molly Morgan. The B plot is Yakkin with Youth plotline which is pretty funny with Steve, dj and kimmy coming on Jesse and Joeys show to talk to kids about random stuff. The kids are great but Jesse and Joey, Dave Coulier and John Stamos shine in this ep arguing over the name of the show Yakkin with Youth or Teen Talk, what can I say sometimes the simplest plotline is the funniest. B plot funnier but a plot is equally as good with the subject matter. Classic Full house episode.

Peer Pressure.
Movie-ManDan30 March 2019
This is one of my favourite episodes about the subject. So honest while still able to keep the 'Full House' touch.

Stephanie is in the sixth grade and officially in junior high. She has made no new friends. One day, she meets a cool girl named Micky. They hit it off. Steph soon finds out Micky is part of a slew of smokers. Steph is desperate for friends. Will she do it?

Peer pressure is THE reason people drink, smoke, do drugs, and have sex. Putting on a facade to impress people. But in Stephanie's case, she has her good judgement getting in the way of making new friends. Friends are the most important thing a person can have. This episode doesn't debunk that completely, but does take a close look at fake friends vs real ones.

So even though this episode isn't entirely about the dangers of smoking, it is very effective as to what it has to say.
