Eating disorders is an issue I have not seem a whole lot of family sitcoms discuss. I'm a bit surprised because negative personal images are very common among teenage girls. And Full House expertly tackles this.

She's embarrassed to wear a bathing suit with her friends. After all, Kimmy is skinny. The whole family goes to the gym in a massively hilarious bit. There, DJ overdoes it and nearly passes out. Stephanie, who is sworn to secrecy, finally tells the family about her crash diet. Danny explains DJ that she is beautiful and that her friends won't judge her. Danny connecting to DJ did better in explaining friendship than the harms of eating disorders. Okay fine. The episode was still serious and funny in all the right spots.
