Good and bad plots get mixed with each other all the time. No big deal. And the bad plot isn't even that bad.
DJ and Kimmy head off to their first college party. But Kimmy gets drunk and DJ takes her home. The next morning, a hungover Kimmy thinks she was the life of the party and that DJ embarrassed her. Only after DJ finally explains how her mother died does Kimmy's memory finally clear up. Her memory finally getting that clear, to me, was a major copout. Lazy writing. Highly unrealistic. Also, the entire portion of the episode dedicated to this is unpleasing and unsatisfying. But it is a major step up from the previous episode about drinking back in season 3.
The subplot is awesome and why my rating seems a bit high for trashing the main plot. Nicky and Alex are bothering Michelle and she finally snaps. They now hate her. Jesse and Joey try to help Michelle and the twins make amends while Becky says to let the kids work it out themselves. The guys try to teach the boys the meaning of forgiveness in a freaking hilarious scene. That scene aside, this plot was great.
