This is KAOS, we do not ____ Here!
zsenorsock29 October 2007
A terrific and hilarious script by Mike Marmer introduces Siegfried's goofy henchman Shtarker (King Moody) and the two play together like a KAOS comedy team. Moody had appeared twice before on the series, but this is the first time he got to play some comedy and with the help of Bernie Koppell and director Gary Nelson, does the most with it. This is the first time Siegfried gets to use the running joke "This is KAOS, we do not ___ here!" The story has Siegfried (Kopell) saving Smart's life and offering to defect from KAOS after Max cavalierly lets Agent 74 (Emmy award winning Laugh-In writer Marc London) die at the beginning of the episode. Alex Rocco also has a brief appearance as a KAOS killer. Adams works great with Kopell as usual and has a good scene as the MC of the annual Chiefs award ceremony ("I won't say there are a lot of chiefs here tonight, but the only thing missing is a wigwam."). The beautiful woman playing a CONTROL scientist involved with hormone research is Nancy Walters who co-starred in "Blue Hawaii" (and only made one more TV appearance before leaving show biz to become a minister). The whole defector thing turns out to be a plot by Siegfried to kidnap the Chiefs and hold them for ransom, but of course Max figures it out along the way. Funy episode all the way through thanks to some great characters.

This episode is a knockout!

This is one of my all time favourite episodes. Of course every episode with Siegfried is my favourite. This one is a favourite of a favourite though, when Siegfried tried to convince Control that he's leaving KAOS! It just had so many gags including gags and banter between Shtarker and Siegfried and at his office too. Operation Big K turns out to be big knockout instead of Siegfried convincing Control that it's a raid on Fort Knox.

Another highlight of the episode is the gathering of the chiefs around the world awards and the gags that come from that, from Max who is hosting. Of course Max works it out in the fraughting Siegfried's take over. And getting into a look into why Siegfried might of led to a life of crime.., it's all because his mother would not let him get a sled as sight says "Do you think it was maybe because we lived in Florida?" Just an hilarious, brilliant episode all round!
