Do everything that she demands of you! That's what Sophia's old fiance, Howard Duff, must do at a wedding that the girls attend. Dorothy can't find a date so she attends with one of Blanche's boyfriend cast offs, also given the task of keeping an eye on Rose who admits that weddings make her "hot". Miles is away so they are concerned that she might do something she'll regret. It's an average episode that has a few funny moments but there really are no surprises. There's the usual competiveness that Dorothy and Blanche deal with as Blanche gets jealous over the attention her cast off boyfriend gives Dorothy, but they don't count on Rose becoming involved. That ends up with Dorothy locking Blanche up in a bathroom stall. Sophia's demands on how Duff ends the curse isn't really funny either.

The Mangiacavallo Curse Makes a Lousy Wedding Present (#5.23)

Warning: Spoilers
The girls are going to the wedding of a relative of a guy who left Sophia at the altar many years ago and she puts a curse on him. And now it seems to finally be working. Dorothy wants to borrow somebody from Blanches A list for the wedding, and they have a bit of a conflict about it. And Miles is out of the city so Rose goes alone but her problem is that she always gets horny at the weddings.
A very funny episode in which character had a good story. My favorite was Sophia's especially how she made the guy say that he is going gay.
Rose was also fun, it is weird to see her in such a story line when they always make her so innocent. And Blanche and Dorothy made one laugh as well.

1940s Music at a 1990 Wedding Reception?

Warning: Spoilers
Most of this episode takes place at a wedding reception of a couple who appear to be in their 20s. Problem is all the music they are playing is music that would probably be played if one of the Golden Girls was getting married. Glenn Miller? Seriously? I think Depeche Mode would be a far likelier choice of this era. And all the young couples dancing in the background can barely keep their eyes open since the big band era songs are all lulling them to sleep.
