The dialogue between Pyle and Carter is very well written and cements the basis of their relationship which is, in a word, unique. Very neat to see the main character actually get his head shaven in real time by a guy who really seems to come out of the marines. I wonder what kind of back and forth arguments came from that scene from the writers and the star himself - if any. The acting in that scene really needs no words as the expressions on Pyle and Carter's faces tells it all. Mute the TV and watch it again.
