An emissary has been despatched from Rome to come to Brittania by foot. The Emperor wants the Goodies to entertain a rowdy crowd.
So they go to Rome and find that the kinky Emperor (Roy Kinnear) is obsessed with Bill and fruit.
Only Tim thinks he can do the job of Emperor better with all the ensuing orgies. The Goodies also find time to create an athletics competition.
It starts off with the Goodies complaining about the cost of living crisis in the 1970s and entry to the Common Market. British goods getting replaced by cheaper European goods.
Once again there is a lot of inventiveness once the Vandals and others descend to holiday in Rome.
It is also a rather racy episode as Roy Kinnear gets all fruity as the Emperor.
