Warning: Spoilers
This is an odd little episode. And, aside from non-regulation haircuts on many of the soldiers, there isn't anything negative I could say about this show.

The show begins with a lady coming to Hawaii to wait for her husband who is due on leave from Vietnam. However, while waiting, some psycho sneaks into her room and murders her! Considering that the killer used a bayonet, the police naturally suspect a military or ex-military man may have done this awful and seemingly random crime. However, when ANOTHER wife waiting for her husband on leave is murdered with a bayonet AND the husband is from the same unit, it's obvious that there is some pattern to the killings. But who is the culprit and why kill military wives?! Will there be yet another murder and if so, who is the next target?! As I said above, this is a good episode with little to criticize. The plot is quite interesting, there is some nice action and I liked the rather violent ending--it was not just another "book 'em, Danno" at the finale! Fascinating.

Emotional episode touching the subject of the Vietnam war that was still ongoing at the time and which has shaped the America society so profoundly. Good action scenes and some very quick thinking on McGarrett's part. Only one issue I take with the episode is the last name of the soldier which was constantly mispronounced and even in the credits they got it wrong, but then Polish names are notorious for hard spelling.
