Lucy is never done with show business, that is obvious, baby or no baby. Ricky plans on doing a gay 90's show with the Tropicana and Lucy uses this as an opportunity to claim a spot in the show, telling Ricky it will be her swan song from constantly begging to be in the show. Ricky refuses, so Ethel and Lucy scheme to get an audition which results in a funny twist concerning Lucy's costume. Finally they do end up in the show, doing a barber shop quartet where Lucy singing causes all sorts of funny visual gags.
This is a moderately amusing episode with no real dramatic impact on the story, but there's a tag at the end of the episode featuring a Christmas theme. It's a good use of early TV special effects although you can clearly see how it's done.
