Another favorite of mine that seems to be underrated and under appreciated.
Everyone needs their birth certificate or in Ricky's case naturalization papers to obtain a passport. Problem? There is no record of Lucy born in Jamestown New York. Lucy's efforts to find a way to obtain her passport keep failing. This includes having the entire phone book read to her over the phone to find a witness and a dirty rat named Helen Kyser who would prefer her gullible husband believe she is younger than she actually is ( meaning she can't be a witness for Lucy) .
Finally help comes from the doctor that delivered Lucy. He's as daffy as Lucy and her mother but sharp and observant in his own way. He gives a twist to the mystery and clears everything up . Lucy gets her birth certificate in an unexpected way too.
The funniest part is Lucy getting locked a trunk and the good doctor doing a musical number with Lucy when she's locked in the trunk and Ricky walks in!
Clever and funny. A solid episode.
