It's Christmas in Arlen

and you know really well Hank so by mentioning that here he will meet his mother's (Tilly) new boyfriend (Gary) is enough to let you know this ain't really a nice Christmas time for him.

Here there's one of those hilarious flashbacks that show us how was Hank's father Cotton, well actually he was just like he is, he hasn't change at all. We recall how Cotton knew immediately that Hank's neighbor Kahn was a Laotian (in the great Season 1 episode Shins of the Father), unlike Hank and pals who were like "are you from Japan, or China?", since here he knows immediately after hearing Gary's last name that he is Jewish ("KasnerÂ…Happy Hanukkah"). So yes, Cotton will meet Gary and Hank will be with them, I said already this ain't really a nice Christmas time for Hank but I haven't' mention that here Hank suffers if a temporal blindness, also! It's not quite like Woody Allen in Hollywood Ending, I mean is not a secret for Hank's family and friends that he is blind yet is a secret for most the real reason why he lost his sight.

Of course we have really funny moments with a blind Hank (it's just fun for Dale, Bill and Boomhauer. Loved the Hank shaving part!) and the really nice expected conclusion (hilarious the faith-healing stuff. "Amazing grace! He was blind and now he sees. We'll be right back after these messages"), so this Christmas episode is really good but it could have been better, having the first appearance of Hank's mother Tilly, being a Christmas show, it could have been much more special.
